St Anthony Chorale (string trio)

$3.99

Title: St Anthony Chorale

Composer: attributed to Joseph Haydn (or Ignatz Pleyel), arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Violin; Violin 2/Viola; Cello

Printout: 4 pages

Note: This theme was used by Brahms in his Variations on a Theme by Haydn and is therefore sometimes misattributed to Brahms. Many historians believe Pleyel to be the actual composer. Despite its title, it has no lyrics and is not a specifically Christian piece. The violin 1 part is playable on flute or oboe by omitting double stops.

The St Anthony Chorale is available in arrangements for a variety of string ensembles: string quartet; violin duo; viola duo; cello duo; violin/viola duo; violin/cello duo; and viola/cello duo.
