St Anthony Chorale (cello duo)

Title: St Anthony Chorale

Composer: Joseph Haydn, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Two Cellos

Printout: 2 pages

Note: The St Anthony Chorale is sometimes attributed to Pleyel, and it has even been misattributed to Brahms because he used it as the theme for his famous Variations on a Theme by Haydn. In this arrangement, double stops with open strings are used in both parts to enrich the texture and fill out the harmonies.

Duet versions of St Anthony Chorale for violin/cello and viola/cello are also available.
