St Anthony Chorale (violin duo)

Title: St Anthony Chorale

Composer: Joseph Haydn, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Two Violins

Printout: 2 pages

Note: A popular wedding processional, this chorale is often mis-attributed to Brahms, who used it in his Variations on a Theme by Haydn. Some musicologists believe, however, that the original tune may have been written by Ignaz Pleyel.

Duo versions of the St Anthony Chorale are also available for violin/viola and violin/cello. An arrangement for unaccompanied violin is available as well.
