Instructional Repertoire for Violin

The solos found in this collection are intended primarily for instructional use. Suzuki teachers will find them useful as supplemental solos and for reading practice pieces. A detailed description of skills required for each piece is provided, and each is correlated to a particular level in the Suzuki repertoire. Special attention has been devoted to selecting material that is fun to play and, especially at beginning levels, is inclusive of a variety of world cultures.

The given difficulty ratings are approximately comparable to those defined by ASTA. Their use does not imply endorsement by ASTA or any other organization or entity.
