Despite the title, there are no religious lyrics or conventions associates with the piece. The violin part in this arrangement can be performed on flute or oboe by omitting double stops.
The St Anthony Chorale is available in arrangements for a variety of string ensembles: string quartet; string trio; violin duo; viola duo; cello duo; violin/cello duo; and viola/cello duo.
