Note: The Planets is perhaps Holst’s best known composition, and this hymn-like theme from Jupiter is a favorite. Often requested for weddings, it is suitable for other occasions as well, including light concert performance. In this arrangement, the theme starts in the viola/violin 2 part before being taken up by the first violin.
