Salut d’Amour (string trio)
$5.99
Title: Salut d’Amour
Composer: Edward Elgar, arr. David Gable
Instrumentation: Violin; Violin 2/Viola; Cello
Printout: 8 pages
Note: Elgar’s Salut d’Amour is indispensable for weddings. Written in 1888, the piece was originally titled “Liebesgruss” (love’s greeting). It sold poorly until Elgar changed the title to the current French. Then copies fairly flew off the shelves. This setting includes alternative parts for both violin 2 and viola.
