March, from Fidelio (string trio)

Title: March, from the opera Fidelio

Composer: Ludwig van Beethoven, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Violin 1; Violin 2/Viola; Cello

Printout: 4 pages

Note: Fidelio is Beethoven’s only opera, and though it is best known for its four overtures, it includes other excellent music as well, including this bright march. This arrangement includes alternative parts for violin 2 and viola. The first violin part can be performed on flute or oboe by modifying a few chords.
