Solemn March, from Joshua (string trio)

Title: Solemn March, from the oratorio Joshua

Composer: G. F. Handel, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Violin 1; Violin 2/Viola; Cello

Printout: 4 pages

Note: Despite the severity implied by its name, this piece is stately rather than somber and works very well as a slow wedding processional. The Solemn March is great choice for those who want a traditional sound without relying on the standards. This arrangement includes alternative parts for violin 2 or viola. The violin 1 part can be played on flute, trumpet or oboe.
