Note: This melody is so widely recognized that many people who sing it to their children don’t even know it was composed by Brahms. It’s excellent music for quiet settings, interludes and so forth.

The Brahms Lullaby makes a beautiful short, lyric set when performed with the Brahms Waltz and the St Anthony Chorale.
