Instructional Repertoire for Cello

The repertoire in this category is designed to appeal to young beginners and intermediate players. Special emphasis has been placed on collecting material from a variety of world cultures. Suzuki teachers will find these pieces useful as supplementary solos or reading pieces. Material has been categorized by skill level. The indicated levels are approximately comparable to ASTA difficulty ratings. Their use does not imply endorsement by ASTA or any other organization. General skills for each level are shown on that sub-category page. Skills required for each piece are listed on the page for that piece. Several pieces can be performed with the comparable violin and/or viola settings. This is indicated in the notes for such pieces.
