Note: The KV 487 duets were originally for two horns, or perhaps two basset horns. I revoiced and transposed the duo, then created an inner voice playable on violin or viola. Violin 1 is playable on flute or oboe. These trios are among the most useful items in my music library. This larghetto makes a beautiful interlude. It is especially useful because both cadences are on the tonic, making it easily tailored to any length.
