Light o’ Love (cello duo)

Title: Light o’ Love

Composer: Elizabethan era, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Two Cellos

Printout: 2 pages

Note: Light o’ Love comes to us from the English Renaissance. That Shakespeare mentions it in two of his plays indicates clearly that it was a well known song at the time. In this setting, the tune is followed by a variation in the manner of divisions, a technique that was in vogue during the Renaissance.
