Note: Caroubel collaborated with Praetorius on the collection of dance music Terpsichore (named after the Greek muse of dance). Much of Caroubel’s contribution has been unjustly overlooked since he died before the work was published and Praetorius has typically been given credit for the entire compendium. The title, La Moresque, means “the Morris dance.”
