Galliarde, from Terpsichore (cello duo)

Title: Galliarde, from Terpsichore

Composer: Pierre Francisque Caroubel, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Two Cellos

Printout: 2 pages

Note: Caroubel was a major contributor to Terpsichore, despite that credit is generally given almost entirely to his collaborator, Praetorius. This lively galliarde has rhythmic twists that require one to remain alert, and like most of the dances in Terpsichore, it sounds excellent on cello.
