Note: Yedid Nefesh (also written as Y’did Nefesh) is a beautiful song that expresses devotion to God in terms akin to human love. Reminiscent of the Song of Solomon, it is traditionally sung to begin the Sabbath, but its text, “beloved of my soul” makes it perfectly apt for wedding preludes.
