Note: The duos of KV 487 were originally for two horns, or perhaps two basset horns (Mozart wrote them while playing nine-pins and apparently wasn’t very specific in the score). I revoiced and transposed the duo, then created an inner voice playable on violin or viola. Violin 1 is playable on flute or oboe. These trios are among the most useful items in my music library. No. 4, the polonaise, is especially popular at weddings and other festive occasions.
