Note: KV 487 is originally for two horns or perhaps for two basset horns. I revoiced and transposed the duo, then created an inner voice playable on violin or viola. Violin 1 is playable on flute or oboe. These trios are among the most useful items in my music library. The rhythmic devices Mozart uses in this minuet make it interesting despite its seeming simplicity.
