Prince of Denmark’s March, The (violin cello duo)

$3.79

Title: The Prince of Denmark’s March

Composer: Jeremiah Clarke, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Violin and Cello

Printout: 2 pages

Note: This majestic march, first published in A Choice Collection of Ayres for the Harpsichord or Spinet in 1700, is an absolute necessity for wedding musicians. Jeremiah Clarke was organist at St Paul’s Cathedral and wrote music for the Theater Royal. This piece is also referred to as Trumpet Voluntary and is sometimes misattributed to Henry Purcell.
