Five Duos – Rossini, No. 4 Menuetto (viola cello duo)

Title: Five Duos, No. 4 Menuetto

Composer: Gioachino Rossini, arr. David Gable

Instrumentation: Viola and Cello

Printout: 2 pages

Note: This minuet (misspelled “Menutto” in the original) sounds very much like a German dance. Since it is known that Rossini’s composition teacher owned copies of several works by Mozart and Haydn, it is quite possible that there is some German/Austrian influence.
