Breaker, a rambunctious romp for string quartet
Title: Breaker, a rambunctious romp for string quartet
Composer: David Gable
Instrumentation: Violin 1; Violin 2; Viola; Cello
Printout: 11 pages including title page.
Note: Breaker is largely jazz and ragtime inspired, with an infusion of Appalachian fiddle bowing and rhythms (hence the title). It’s a fun piece suitable for both gig and light concert performance. It can be performed as a stand-alone piece, but it was written to follow Good Neighbors as a pair.
