Note: The Aragonaise serves as the entr’acte to Act IV in Bizet’s magnum opus, the opera Carmen. It is a musical portrayal of the streets of Seville just prior to a bullfight. It’s driving 3/8 rhythms are characteristically Spanish, but the treatment is thoroughly Bizet.
