Shepherds’ Dance, from Danserye (viola cello duo)
$3.99
Title: Shepherds’ Dance, from Danserye (1551)
Composer: Tielman Susato, arr. David Gable
Instrumentation: Viola and Cello
Printout: 4 pages
Note: Although is technically dates to the renaissance era, the music in Danserye has a lot in common with that of the baroque. This rustic dance fits well into any early or traditional music set or program. Susato, by the way, was the first music publisher to use moveable type in the printing of music. He was also a composer of considerable skill.
