Note: Written around 1850, the habanera La Paloma was destined to become a world-wide sensation, but sadly not before the composer’s death in 1865. Even today, a century and a half later, La Paloma remains a classic of the genre. In this arrangement, the melodic material is shared between the two parts, and both parts use alto and treble clefs.
