Note: Act III scene 4 of Tannhäuser opens with this brilliant march, which is also known as the Festive March or the Entrance of the Guests. Transposed here from B major to C Major to take advantage of open string double stops, the  piece works remarkably well as a string trio. The first violin part is three pages with ample turning time at the bottom of page 2.
