Note: The Ronde and Saltarelle appear as separate dances in Susato’s Danserye, but the Saltarelle is a metric variation of the Ronde (a favorite trick of Susato’s), so they work exceptionally well as a pair. This setting includes both violin 2 and viola parts. The violin 1 part is playable on flute or oboe.
